Cinderella
Eliza came up with a brilliant idea yesterday morning while I was cleaning the house! "Mom, how about if we play Cinderella and we have to do ALL the chores. You just tell us what you want us to do and we will do it!" I wish it would stay this easy for the rest of her life!
Although I am not sure how much I love being referred to as the mean Stepmother?

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!
Thought I would share with the rest of you literally the best chocolate chip cookie recipe! Seriously...why don't you just believe me! You gotta try them and you will see! I have yet to meet someone that has disagreed after tasting them.
2 Cubes cold butter
1 heaping cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
Mix those three ingredients really really well. Then add:
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
Mix these also really really well. Almost whipped! Then add:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 lg package instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
Again mix really really well. Add desired amount of chocolate chips. Just plop large globs of dough onto cookie sheet. Don't roll into a ball or use a cookie scoop. Just a good ole spoon. And also dont use a baking stone. For some reason it makes them flat. Then bake at 350 for 13 minutes. Take out when cookies look almost undercooked! Immediately move to cooling rack!

Addendum to the last post
Bunco... "White Trash Night"
I seriously have some of the best group of friends! We had such a good time and everyone dressed up and really got into it! Somehow the traditional Bunco way wasn't enough for us, we had to put a spin on it and have "themed" nights. This one was truly a hit!
Lets just say when deciding on a costume the options were endless when you go to the GOODWILL! The longer I stayed the more leopard print I found. Don't judge the modesty! The laughs were well worth the embarrassment!
So everyone was instructed to bring a white trash dish for a potluck! Boy did people get creative. We had pigs in a blanket (which were actually really good!) chili, corn bread, pie, ding dong cupcakes, and so much more! But the best part was.....
TACO IN A BAG!Seriously genius! Who comes up with these things! What you do is you take a bag of chips, I chose fritos, then you add your chili beans, cheese, lettuce, and ranch dressing and eat right out of the bag. It was actually really good! Sadly enough, I had 2! So if any of you are looking for a quick fix your kids are sure to love...there you go!
These girls are great! I am really going to miss them. Its nights like this that make me really sad to leave!

Famous Idaho Potato Race
Yeah...I did it! Never thought in a million years would I ever attempt to run....anywhere! Honestly I thought people were crazy who enjoyed running. But thanks to my good friend and neighbor Lindsie McDaniel, I think I might have gotten into the groove! Lindsie had been training for a 1/2 marathon for the past several months. Then just a few weeks ago I finally got the courage to go out and run with her on her "short" runs. I started out with 3 miles and only ever ran 4 1/2. Then the night before the 1/2 marathon Lindsie talked me into doing the 10k of the same race. (6 miles) So we drove to the downtown park and registered 15 minutes before they closed the registration! I got my number and timing anklet and was set to go! I was so pumped that I did it and it felt so good at the finish line. Actually to be quite honest, I was a little angry at the world because I was so tired but once I got a cold drink of water and a little shade I was so excited. I was able to run it without ever stopping which was a big accomplishment for me! I think I finished at 1:07 which isn't too terribly fast but I was ok with it because I was just focusing on finishing without stopping!
Me, Cathy Mckasson (a friend from my ward), Emilie Bird who would also run with us in the morning and Lindsie.
Yes, it was really called "The Famous Idaho Potato Marathon" and yes they really served baked potatoes at the finish line. What???

Getaway with My College Roommates!
So this weekend was the best! Honestly! My Ricks college roommates all got together for a weekend getaway to Park City. We went from wednesday to saturday and had the time of our lives! It was so nice to be without kids and with these girls once again. We have all kept in touch over the years and have gotten together during weddings and an occasional lunch, but nothing like this! We were roommates almost 8 years ago. It was great to catch up, laugh, eat, relax and laugh some more!
Breakfast at Einstein Bagel after a morning walk!
On Friday we walked along Main street after a relaxing morning at the Spa getting Massages and Facials!
Allison Orten, Melissa Schoenhardt, Heidi Durham, Tracey Wright, Mollie Salazar, Amber Buhrley, and Nicole Labonte. We dressed up and went to a really nice dinner at a restaurant called Ghidottis!
After dinner we went to a club and went dancing! Hee hee! No one but me wanted to go and with a lot of persuasion we went! It was so fun and we will forever remember it!
We had fun staying up late to play games and eat cookies!

Sammy's
So this past weekend I went down to Utah by myself-no kids, no hubby! I was able to spend the day with my awesome brother Sam. He just opened a rad little cafe in Provo that I wanted to check out! It's appropriately named "Sammys" and is a really cool place with great food! I honestly can't believe all that he does. He is amazing and a little bit random with all his adventures he takes on! Gotta love him!
